Hello birthing parents:

My name is Marilyn. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to introduce myself to you and your supportive loved ones. I'm the birth mother of 2 adult children and grandmother of 1 beautiful granddaughter. I'm also blessed with a bonus daughter and granddaughter.

As long as I can remember, I've been obsessed with pregnancy and babies. Anytime I was in the presence of an expectant mommy I was immediately drawn to her and longed for the time when I would be able to become a mom myself.

I've thoroughly enjoyed supporting women through their birthing experiences as far back as 35 years ago when I supported a friend throughout her labor. Little did I know that there was a title associated with that "labor" (pun intended) of love. That was indeed my first "Doula" experience. Since then, I've studied, researched, certified and assisted in countless and varied birth experiences to include Postpartum and Infant Care Doula support for my very own granddaughter. What a blessing that experience was, not only to be there to assist the new parents in their transition, but to bond with our very own precious gift.
